Participants and visitors to the event include the leading architects, builders, policy makers, town planners, and companies whose products/services impact the built environment directly or indirectly in Nigeria and West Africa. This year’s event will feature special participants and delegations form some key European and Asian countries. The City Renewal Programmes of many state governments is a major attraction and promises a pending boom in the Building Construction and Housing industry in Nigeria. Little wonder, this year, we are focusing on the very critical aspect of policy engineering in our workshop series.

The Lagos Habitat 2001 project main objectives are :
